East Cheshire Trust reports on activities from the health and wellbeing group annually in the Trust annual report which can be found on the Trust's website for external viewing. A report to the Trust Board is produced by the health and wellbeing group bi-annually.

This report is based on the three year Employee Wellbeing Strategy which focuses on weight management and healthy lifestyles, mental health and wellbeing at work and physical health and wellbeing at work. The report includes a dashboard of data to monitor sickness absence rates, referrals to occupational health, staff counselling, staff survey results, staff involvement in health and wellbeing activities, results of health and wellbeing surveys and health and safety incident reporting.

The wellbeing group is sponsored by the Executive HR director, the strategy has been approved and embraced by the senior team and the actions from the annual plans are monitored and managed by the health and wellbeing group on a monthly basis.

The strategy is underpinned by annual delivery plans against each of the three pledges. The plan identifies pilot projects which are designed to investigate and test actions developed to improve areas of concern highlighted by the dashboard figures.

The health and wellbeing group will strengthen the commitment of the organisation to the health and wellbeing of its employees with a business focused approach to reporting during 2013/2014, linking the reports to strategic trust objectives and financial sustainability.
