At Kraft Foods in the UK, we believe that you can enjoy what you eat and still live a healthy lifestyle. Thats why were dedicated to making the foods people love even better.We are working hard to reduce sodium and salt across our categories through our RD and consumer insight programmes and are proud of the progress we have made. Our Dairylea brand in the UK is a good example. After a gradual programme of reformulation over recent years, in 2011 we relaunched our Dairylea cheese spread, slices and portions with 25% less salt but no compromise to taste.Future plansWe will continue to use our RD and consumer insight programmes to look for acceptable technical solutions to meet this pledge. Our primary goal is to make delicious food that consumers feel good about. It has always been clear that these targets would be difficult to achieve in some categories without compromising taste. Where this is the case we will continue to pursue a gradual approach to reflect and, where possible, challenge consumer acceptance.
