As a leading food manufacturer in the UK and Ireland, Kerry Foods recognise the importance of a healthy, balanced diet and support the work that the Department of Health is doing to improve UK dietary health.
In 2014, we launched a ready meal range under the Low Low brand all of which contain <1g of saturated fat per 100g. Our calorie reduction programme has resulted in significant reductions in saturated fat within our portfolio. For example, in 2012/2013, we achieved a 25% reduction in saturated fat within the uncured meat products category and an 18% reduction in saturated fat in the cheese slices category. Throughout 2014/2015 we aim to continue to reduce saturated fat in key products across our portfolio as part of our calorie reduction work. This includes sausage and fat spreads.
