Since 1983 we have supported the North East Childrens Cancer Run, a 5-mile cross country family fun run with a 1 mile mini run for the under 7s. We sponsored a series of Football festivals for primary school children alongside Newcastle United Foundation.We sponsored the Newcastle Eagles Basketball Foundations Hoops4Health programme, delivering a healthy and active lifestyle message into Gateshead primary schools.In 2012 we are partnering with Newcastle United Foundation, Newcastle Eagles Foundation and Newcastle Falcons Foundation to deliver a multi-sports programme into primary schools in the north east of England.We are launching an internal Wellness strategy in 2012 which will cover areas such as physical activity guidelines.
