KFC UK/I use specific ingredients centrally sourced and pre weighed. This ensures we know the level of salt used in all our products and how this fits with our salt reduction plans. KFC UK/I employ a large number of predominantly young individuals as cooks and team members. Our Wellbeing programme teaches each employee about (holistic) healthier lifestyle choices not only about salt but also about general diet, eating 5 a day and exercise; this equips people not only with useful information about products in KFC, but also in their life in general. KFC UK/I were the first QSR to stop salting our fries over 7 years ago. Over the years we have also reduced the volume of salt in our sachets, further reducing the use of discretionary salt. KFC will continue on our salt reduction programme that we had in place, by continuing to remove salt in our top selling lines.
