The Restaurant at Hinchingbrooke Hospital is open to staff and visitors and there is a wide variety of healthier food options including self service for a range of salads and cold meats for staff and visitors to the hospital.Cold beverages that are low sugar are available from the restaurant drinks vending machine.The restaurant reduced portion size in June 2011.Water is available cold or ice cold from a mains fed water dispenser.Fresh vegetables are available and served daily and individual fresh fruit including self service fresh fruit salad is available from the salad bar.Work planned for 2013:Meeting to take place with the head chef to agree a method of identifying either a calorific value of food served or labelling of foods that are high in fat, low in salt and sugar etc.Review the range of recipes available
