Delivery plan:

Submitted: 21 December, 2011

JD Wetherspoon continues to place great emphasis on the prevention of unlawful sales of alcohol to and its consumption by under 18s on our premises. All our pubs operate either Challenge 21 and Challenge 25 policies dependent on location. We have this year developed interactive online refresher training modules for existing front of house employees in order to ensure proof of age training is delivered in a relevant and impactive fashion. Our Challenge 21/25 policy is advertised on the front doors and all front of house enployees wear a badge advertising "It's my job to ask". How to adhere to our proof of age policies is also a key part of our induction training for new front of house members of staff. We work via our primary authority partnership with Reading Borough Council to ensure best practice in our compliance measures in this area is maintained.
