Pledge:
H3. Health & Wellbeing Report
Committed since:
1 January, 2013
Delivery plan:
Submitted: 19 December, 2011
DWP will meet this pledge as follows: The DWP Health, Safety and Wellbeing annual report is published each July. This is available to view on the DWP website at: http://www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/corporate-publications/hs-and-wellbeing-annual-report.shtmlInformation on health and wellbeing is also included in the DWP annual report and accounts (page 15): http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/dwp-annual-report-and-accounts-2010-2011.pdf Staff sickness rates are published in the DWP annual report (page14): http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/dwp-annual-report-and-accounts-2010-2011.pdfSickness absence is measured in terms of average working days lost per staff year. To record sickness absence data and calculate rates the manager inputs the data immediately a member of staff notifies an absence and the personnel computer system calculates the consequences both for the employee's record and the aggregate count using an internal diary. The DWP method conforms to the standard cross-Whitehall approach.
