Submitted: 2 March, 2015
Ardmore’s aim is to support a diverse workforce welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds. We support this by an individual development plan and very good management.
Each young person has an induction, risk assessment once a year with a midyear review and annual appraisal. They are supported by a “buddy” based on each site.
We advertise our vacancies in job centres and job fairs as we are aware many young people will see this as their 1st route into work.
Ardmore will continue an active apprentice programme training young carpenters, plumbers and electricians their craft skills up to NVQ level 3 and beyond.
Ardmore commits to creating employment for school leavers and young people on every one of its construction sites, and will continue to employ a full time professional employment and skills co-ordinator to promote this programme.
Our Graduate programme encourages all aspects of the building trade, from Assistant Project managers to Health and Safety Advisors.
We have regular workshops to work with our Graduates to help them develop and prosper in their career, and a dedicated graduate training co-ordinator.
