Tennent Caledonian Breweries (TCB) supported the Scottish Beer and Pub Association campaign to communicate "Challenge 25" following its introduction via the Alcohol Act (Scotland) 2010 (01/10/11). As part of a co-ordinated industry campaign developed by the Scottish Beer and Pub Association, TCB field sales teams delivered kits (including posters, badges, t-shirts, Challenge 25 guide, tent card and dripmats) to free trade outlets across scotland during September/October 2011. The Tennents Training Academy (opened November 2010) is Scotlands Centre for Excellence in entertaining and hospitality training, aimed at improving hospitality standards across Scotland. Since opening over 4,000 people have been trained in courses that will include modules on how to tackle under age sales incl: award for scottish personal licence holder, City and Guilds level 2 professional bartending course, introduction to licensed hospitality operations, award in door supervision.
