Please describe how you report on the health and wellbeing of your employees, including annual sickness rates
We presented our Staff Health and Wellbeing strategy to our Trust Board in January and this was approved. The Staff Health and Wellbeing Strategy sits alongside our public/patient health and wellbeing strategy and both have been informed by the '5 Year Forward View'. New Governance arrangements for reporting and monitoring on staff health and wellbeing have been put in place. The Staff Health and Wellbeing Committee and the Staff Stress and Wellbeing Committee have been merged into a single Staff Health and Wellbeing Committee under the chairmanship of a Staff Side representative, a Senior Orthoptist. This group reviews (amongst other things) sickness data and staff survey data and in turn reports into a Trust Health and Wellbeing Committee which oversees the implementation of both strategies (described above). This group is now chaired by a Non Executive Director and contains 2 other Executive Directors on the group. 50% of the agenda is dedicated to staff health and wellbeing. In turn this group is now a full sub-committee of the Trust Board and minutes/reports will be received by the Board. We also report on staff health and wellbeing through our Trust Annual Report documenting sickness levels and Occupational Health services.
