16 September, 2014
Submitted: 23 April, 2015
Are your OHS accredited to the new standards for occupational health services (SEQOHS)?
(a) If yes, when was accrediation achieved?
(b) If not, please indicate when in-house accreditation will be achieved OR when External provider / contractor accreditation will be achieved
We are assured by our Occupational Health providers 'Working Well' that they continue to seek accreditation in the Safe and Efficient Quality Occupational Health Service (SEQOHS). This is a scheme run by the faculty of occuaptional medicine and hosted by the Royal COllege of Physicians. This has become the most widely recognised industry assurance scheme. In terms of anticipated timelines, i am advised that they will be uploading any documents/evidence for consideration by SEQOHS by the end of April after which they expect that there will be a circa 12 week period for consideration or further questions. As a consequence, a revised accreditation date may be pushed into August/September.
They are also going to be applying for accreditation with ISO 18001 which deals with Oocational Health and Safety management and process. They have not applied as yet as much of the same documentation and evidence required is also required for SEQOHS, which they have made their priority. Post SEQOHS accreditation they will then confirm their application for ISO 18001. We continue to monitor this through our regular service meetings with Working Well.
