At ISG we are committed to the health and wellbeing of our employees through the roll out of a workplace health and wellbeing programme, launching in December 2013 and throughout 2014.

The programme is designed to engage with staff through a multi-channel approach on a range of health and wellbeing monthly themes including chronic conditions, smoking, alcohol and substance misuse, emotional wellbeing, physical activity (including active travel) and healthy eating. The programme is championed by the Group HR Director and has a central coordinator supported by a network of local champions across our locations.

We will use our existing mechanisms of communication to engage with staff including intranet, employee emails, workshops, business area newsletters and factsheets. The roll out includes plans to connect with our project sites and reach our supply chain teams.

There will also be online recorded webinars, available to employees anywhere and anytime of the day – enabling people to fit in the health and wellbeing activities into their own schedules.

The programme will offer staff practical information and signpost to useful websites and smartphone apps such as NHS Choices, prompting people to take part in various assessments including the NHS LifeCheck.
