We aim to offer a wide variety of programmes for our staff to improve both their physical and mental wellbeing. Alongside this we are working to develop and review existing policies and strategy. The Occupational Health department has been re launched as Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service and a firm business plan is in place to ensure sustainability of all the initiatives.Examples of such initiatives include:Walking challenge where 112 participants all achieved above 12000 steps a day as an averageHeld two wellbeing events over 150 staff attendedCycle to work schemes run 26 staff participatedCycle maintenance and training held for 7 staff450 staff had fee eye tests45 staff attended mental wellbeing workshops.Exercise classes held weekly on or near both main sites (20 staff per week)We have involved over a thousand staff in the various projects and are continuing to build upon these.Wellbeing Annual ProgrammeFor physical activityActivityDetailFrequencyTargetHealth checksAppointments offered for height, weight, BMI, Diabetes, cholesterol.Two days per week throughout the year.
