P2. Physical Activity Guidelines

The target beneficiaries are DWP's 100,000+ staff. The main mechanism for communication of the guidelines will be through the DWP intranet site which all staff access on a daily basis. DWP will meet this pledge as follows: - an article on the CMO's guidelines was published on the DWP wellbeing intranet site in November 2011 - the guidelines are also featured in DWP's intranet communications on the civil service physical activity challenge for 2012 which have been in a headline news feature for the whole of November - the guidelines will continue to be promoted to staff through our existing wellbeing communications - the supplier of DWP's "Live well work well" programme has been asked to incorporate information on the guidelines in their online health and wellbeing programme from April 2012 - DWP will promote the guidelines alongside the promotion of additional health, safety and wellbeing issues through our contacts with other Government Departments.
