Our absence policy contains information for employees and managers on supporting employees with long term conditions. Managers also have access to a guide setting out how they can consider making reasonable adjustments to employees roles/working conditions to support them in the workplace.We hold welfare meetings with colleague and will work with them to ensure that adjustments can be made. The Society also set out a work adjustment plan if this is required for the colleague to return to work. The Work Adjustment Plan asks for a review of the adjustments to be completed. This will demonstrate support, provide an opportunity to see how the colleague is coping and help determine when the colleague will be completely fit to return to full working capacity.Reviews also determine if the adjustments have been successful. All HR policies and procedures, and details, can be accessed on our intranet. Managers, HR managers and trade union representatives also have access to these should employees require further assistance.
