Our raison d'etre is to wholesale premium wines and spirits to the UK on-trade market and we currently have minimal sales direct to the consumer. We have committed to undertake the following reviews to ensure our customers, who sell directly to the consumer have an increased range of wines with lower alcohol levels from which to choose from.We have consciously selected several wines recently that are lower in alcohol to ensure we offer our customers the choice of a low alcohol wine. For existing producers we have tried to balance reducing their alcohol level without changing the style and quality of the wines we currently sell. Concerning smaller serving sizes, this is something that over the years we have avoided for several reasons: poor demand, quicker deterioration, etc. Outside our wholesale operation, we represent a number of spirit producers as UK agents. We have contacted each of these suppliers to request they consider the reduction of alcohol in their products in any new product development. We have also asked them to consider alcohol strength in the current portfolio of products we distribute for them.We have also drawn their attention to the Drinkaware stance on responsible drinking and promotion of alcoholic drinks.
