Through your physical activity pledges you will be working with employees, customers/consumers and/or local communities. For each group (as applicable) please describe the specific activities or projects you have undertaken over the past year.
Employees: For example, employee incentive schemes to promote physical activity, awareness raising activities or improvements to facilites to promote active travel. n/a
Customers: For example, supporting/sponsoring local physical activity programmes, promoting physical activity to customers through website campaigns or in-store materials. Through our network of Premier Sport franchisees, The Golden Mile is sponsored by the franchisee allowing the initiaitve to be offered FREE to primary schools within thier territory. Premier Sport hjas a network of 100 franchisees & 700+ Activity Professionals (coaches) nationwide.
Local communities: For example, support for community-based physical activity programmes (such as funding, sponsorship or other promotion activity), working with local partners to engage communities is physical activity opportunities. Through our network of Premier Sport franchisees The Golden Mile initiaitve is offered FREE to primary schools within their territory. Each school is given free large wall charts for every class as well as access to our online portal to record physical activity from each pupil.

We would be interested to know if your pledge activity over the last year has delivered a measurable increase in participation in physical activity. If so, please describe and provide an estimate of the level of increase and how you measured this. There is a 2000-character limit when completing this section. From September 2012-July13 (academic year) 10,070 primary school pupils achieved 54,694 miles of physical activity using The Golden Mile. From September 2013-July 1st 2014 17,376 pupils achieved 110,134 miles of physical activity. This academic year, there has been an increase of 101.36% more physical activity achieved with 72.55% more children using The Golden Mile within the safe of the school grounds.
