Existing workWe have a suite of publications promoting the value of physical activity, with suggestions for ways to incorporate more physical activity into daily life, including; easy exercise guide, fit for work; fit for active work and fit for the future (aimed at children).We are producing a suite of evidence briefing for members of the CSP summarising the latest evidence on behavioural change; brief interventions and prescribing physical activity. These papers will support members delivering public health messages to their clients and local populations.We promoted the new CMO physical activity guidelines (start active, stay active) to members of CSP through our member publication "frontline"; our website; electronic news bulletin; and interactive member forum.We also released an external press release on the day the guidelines were launched. We have a group of 267 members who carry out community physical activity promotional events throughout the UK- examples of these can be found in our quarterly publication "public health news". London 2012 Olympic And Paralympic Games CSP are an active member of the NHS challenge, seeking to encourage 100,000 members of nhs staff to take up more physical activity.
