Berry Bros Rudd (BBR) adheres to the principles laid out in Portman Group code of practice on the naming, packaging and promotion of alcoholic drinks including:Responsible drinking By 2013, Berrys own selection range of wines will be 100% compliant (currently 80%) with the Portman labelling guidelines, namely:Unit alcohol contentChief Medical Officers daily guidelines for lower-risk consumptionPregnancy warningDrinkaware.co.ukResponsibility statement (e.g. Please drink responsibly)In addition:Drinkaware.co.uk link is featured on home page of main web siteSensible drinking and Drinkaware messages are in all main promotional literaturePromotions and advertisingAll promotional activity is checked for compliance against the Portman guidelines and there is a designated manager and director with specific responsibility for this (Marketing Manager and Chief Operating Officer).BBR also adheres to the principles laid out in Wine Spirit Trade Association distance Selling code of practice, including obligations that support the Portman Group code of practice on the naming packaging and merchandising of alcoholic drink.
