HealthKicks Wellbeing is established and run by one individual with no direct employees and as such we see our pledge as our commitment to the wider construction industry. HealthKicks Wellbeing provides workplace health and wellbeing solutions to employers. Our aim is to educate and support employers to deliver effective health promotion initiatives to promote and protect the health of their workforce and the wider community.
Recognising that engagement with occupational health is key to improving health and wellbeing in construction we target our campaigns to deliver approaches that will effectively motivate employees to want to improve their health. Health awareness is offered through short and punchy talks, stand-alone health campaigns or through structured health and wellbeing programmes which include both work and non-work related health issues and therefore encourage ill health prevention and engagement with clinical services by all who take part.
HealthKicks guides employers to develop targeted health and wellbeing programmes which actively promote health. It provides both subjective and objective feedback from health campaigns to help employers effectively evaluate their programmes and report on Health and Wellbeing at a strategic level.
HealthKicks priority is the prevention of disease, early identification and intervention of disease. The initiatives have been designed to align with the Public Health Responsibility deal to help employers achieve their commitment to their chosen pledges. Initiatives focus on key public health concerns such as diseases related to obesity such as heart and liver disease and type 2 diabetes.
