H1. Chronic Conditions Guide and Carers

As part of our healthcare scheme we actively look for providers that are able to offer cover for chronic conditions, such as cancer treatment cover, so as to enable as much support as we can to assist any employees who have this condition.We offer employees access to an employee support programme which is operational 24/7, 365 days per year. This service, if required, includes face to face counsellor sessions, these can be either booked confidentially by the employee or be employer referral (dependant upon circumstances). All communication and/or output is completely confidential between the provider and the employee seeking support.We also partner with an Occupational Health provider who is able to meet with employees around the country, following referral, and following assessments provides details of how to we as a business can help and support the employees to get the employees back to work either following periods of illness or accident. This includes details of the types of workplace adjustments that may be required for the transition back to work, as well as advice and recommendations for modifications that retain the employee in their job, minimising the risk for aggravating their condition.All new employees are asked to complete Occupational Health questionnaires and to submit them directly to our provider. Following assessment our provider then advises if we should consider making workplace adjustments for the employee and what they may be.
