Baxterstorey, the UKs leading independent contract caterer, has signed the artificial trans fats (F3) pledge, through which companies are required to confirm that they have already removed, or will remove artificial trans fats from their products by the end of 2011.BaxterStorey is dedicated to providing its clients and customers with wholesome, nutritious food. Every day, across more than 670 locations in the UK, BaxterStoreys chefs prepare fantastic meals using fresh, locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.BaxterStorey engaged with its supply chain and its primary grocery supplier has committed to remove hydrogenated vegetable oils from the ingredients it supplies, which means that BaxterStorey is now compliant with the pledge. Separately, this supplier has also signed up to the pledge.BaxterStorey will continue to work with the department of health and consider other pledges that are in-line with the companys ability to help its clients and customers to eat more healthily.
