ASDA was the first retailer to introduce Challenge 25 which is now an industry norm and operates in all our stores. We therefore already comply with this commitment. In order to enforce the policy effectively we undertake our own independent test purchasing. West Yorkshire Trading Standards Services acts as primary authority to ASDA and provides advice on our procedures and training on under age sales and has signed off our systems. Since July 2011 we have published a feature on Challenge 25 in the ASDA magazine, rebriefed store colleagues, and launched new Challenge 25 point of sale in our stores.
