The Advertising Association (AA) represents the tripartite interests of the advertising industry - the advertisers, agencies and media. Our contribution has been to promote discussion between the different parts of the industry about alcohol marketing good practice. In 2011, we worked with our member, the Outdoor Media Centre, to put in place an effective framework for the 100m restriction near schools, that was agreed with advertisers as part of the Pledge. In early 2012, the AA is submitting a response to the Portman Group's consultation on its code of practice including sponsorship.
