We continue to work with Pru Health to offer our employees the Vitality scheme, a programme that ensures staff benefit from discounted gym memberships and the opportunity to gain reward points, entitling them to further discounts from a wealth of high street retailers. The points system works by logging individual lifestyle habits, such as drinking less alcohol, stopping smoking and increasing physical activity. All staff complete a health questionnaire in order to began their journey to a healthier lifestyle. This scheme will continue to be available to employees in 2014.
We continue to encourage our employees to live a healthier lifestyle and held a summer sports day in 2013 that involved staff taking part in sporting team challenges. This event was a huge success and we plan to make this an annual occasion, with our next one planned for June 2014.
As part of our CSR strategy, Dominoâ€™s Responsible Delivery Plan, we also encourage our team members to raise funds for Rays of Sunshine, our national charity partner. The charity team organise events for staff to take part in, with the next one being a 25km walk taking place on 29 June 2014.
There are two company bicycles available for staff to use and a new walking group has been set up to encourage staff to get away from their desks at lunchtime, meet new colleagues and get some exercise. We will be encouraging participation of this walking group throughout 2014.
Match funding is also still available for staff members, so many team members take part in sporting activities whilst raising money for a charity of their own choosing.
