Please describe your work to reduce and prevent under-age sales of alcohol, over the last year (2000 characters limit):
BII promotes the 'Think' Challenge-25 campaign posters on their website, encouraging members to challenge anyone they believe to be under 25 to provide valid photo identification to prove they are over-18. BII also offers courses for door-staff, training them to identify valid forms of ID, spot fakes, and deal with any attempts to purchase alcohol under-age. BII support the PASS Scheme, the UK's national Proof of Age standards scheme, which is promoted through educational materials produced by BII. The SABMiller Scholarship Programme is delivered by BII's awarding organisation BIIAB. The programme offers, 1,000 free places annually to servers within the independent licensed retail sector, the individuals can access the BIIAB Level 1 Award in Responsible Alcohol Retailing qualification through a nationwide network of approved centres.
