Aunt Bessie's will continue to embed the principles of the chronic conditions within the HR procedures through:(a) continued commitment to the 'mindful employer' initiative through increased awareness of mental health at work and providing on-going support for employers in the recruitment and retention of staff.(b) ensuring flexible working arrangements and adjustments through working with and through the individual, the group employee support counsellor, occupational health adviser, team manager and HR to ensure reasonable and responsible adjustments are made to individual's working environment.(c) through the long term absence policy work with and through the individual to ensure consideration is given to alternative positions to facilitate return to work.(d) commiting to continue, regular and clear communication throughout the period of absence.(e) encourage, where feasible, the regular attendance of the individual into the working environment to meet their work colleagues during specified timelines to ensure continuity of communication.(f) to work with and through the individual to give advice and specialist help through the group welfare officer on all aspects of long term absence.
