Apetito commit to the salt targets for the end of 2012 agreed by the Responsibility Deal, which collectively will deliver a further 15% reduction on 2010 targets, and we are pleased to announce that 100% of our individual meals and soups already meet this target, as part of our ongoing salt reduction programme founded in 2007.The remainder of our desserts and multi-portion products will be redeveloped for compliance by the end of 2012. We intend to achieve this targets by continuing to pursue our award-winning customer focus programme, working alongside consumer groups in customer reference tastings (CRTs) to ensure that we continue to meet both industry and customer expectations by developing the appropriate flavour profiles for our markets.Therefore, while there will be no technical changes, our qualified chefs are dedicated to reformulating recipes and working in partnership with raw material suppliers to source quality ingredients that balance flavour, while helping to achieve a total salt reduction of nearly 1g per day per person compared to 2007. With this in mind, each and every new product will also be developed to meet the amended criteria.
