A8(a). Alcohol Unit Reduction

The update provides you with an opportunity to describe the progress you have made on delivering against this pledge and the changes you have implemented in order to deliver this commitment. You may wish to indicate if your delivery plans for this pledge had to be modified and whether there were any unintended consequences that arose from your delivery of the pledge.

We remain committed to this pledge. Actions we have taken in the last reporting year include:
Reduced the alcohol content of our Co-operative Fairtrade Sparkling Rose from 11% to 5.5%
Reduced the alcohol levels (abv) of our Co-op French Lager from 4.8% to 4.6%
We have begun ranging Bavaria 0% alcohol lager in over 506 of our stores
Increased our range of Co-operative branded mini wine bottles by adding Prosecco, Chilean Merlot and Chilean Sauvignon Blanc to allow customers a greater choice of smaller formats.
