The Iraq Inquiry is offering the next of kin of UK Service Personnel and civilians who lost their lives in Iraq the opportunity to read an embargoed copy of the Inquiry's Report on the morning of Wednesday 6 July, before it is released to the general public, and to attend Sir John Chilcot's public statement.
The venue will be the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.
Invitations have been sent directly to those next of kin who have been in touch with the Inquiry recently and for whom we therefore hold up-to-date contact details.
Contact details for the majority of the next of kin of UK Service Personnel and civilians who lost their lives are held by the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office respectively. Invitations to next of kin who have not recently been in touch with the Inquiry are therefore being sent out on the Inquiry's behalf by those departments.
It is possible that some invitations could take several days to arrive. If you believe you should recieve a copy, but have not done so by Monday 6 June, please contact the Inquiry Secretariat as soon as possible thereafter, either by phone (between 9am and 5pm) on (020) 7276 1711 or by email at email@example.com.
