Where was the project located?

The works are at M56 junctions 6 just north of Manchester Airport.

Why was the scheme needed?

The scheme was needed as M56 junction 5 provides access to Manchester Airport and this area is heavily congested at peak times.  This scheme will install CCTV cameras at the junction enabling early identification of incidents facilitating reduced clear up time and reduced incident related congestion.

What work was carried out?

Works will involve installation of 3 CCTV cameras at M56 junctions 5.
