Economic activity of people with disabilities aged 16-59/64 (175.5 Kb Excel sheet) The estimates of the economic activity of people with disabilities published in this table are obtained from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) and are shown for the period 1998-2013. The disability questions on the LFS have undergone several changes since 2010 and this has meant that comparisons over time have become difficult to interpret.  Consequently the estimates from 2010 onwards are not directly comparable with those from earlier years. See the 'Important Note' included with the table for more information.

Zero-Hours Contracts: Average Hours Worked (37.5 Kb Excel sheet) The zero-hours contract figures in this analysis are calculated from responses to the Labour Force Survey (LFS). As part of the survey the LFS asks people in employment if their job has flexible working and if so to choose from a list of employment patterns those which best describe their situation.  Only those people who select "zero hours contract" as an option will be included in this analysis. The number of people who are shown as on a zero hours contract will therefore be affected by whether people know they are on a zero hours contract and will be affected by how aware they are of the concept.
