ONS Strategic Overview

Opening date: 08 June 2010
Closing date: 01 September 2010
Department: Office for National Statistics
Category: General

The ONS strategy, summarised in the Strategic Overview, presents a refreshed vision, direction and priorities for ONS for the next five years. It describes our aims, what drives them and how they will be achieved. It sets a strategic framework for delivery of the annual business plans which will provide the basis for budget allocation and will determine what we do. This consultation is being conducted in line with the Government's Code of Practice on Consultation, the criteria for which are set out in Annex 1 of the paper. ONS welcomes informed views from any quarter and therefore invites responses from interested parties. The consultation period will end on 1 September 2010. We expect to publish a summary of responses before or alongside any further action, and this will be made available on the ONS website.
