NHS England and the Informatics Services Commissioning Group (ISCG) are tomorrow jointly hosting an Open House event ‘Unlocking Potential: Technology and data to improve health and care now and for future generations’.
Patients, service users, carers, and a range of organisations will get the chance to give direct feedback. You can watch and take part on the ISCG Open House Connect Social Site.
The Unlocking Potential event, which runs from 10am to 5pm, will explore and discuss the emerging high level informatics strategy that the ISCG is developing for health and social care in England. The event will focus around four workshops:
- Linking patient records across health and social care: how services can be better integrated and provide people with greater access to their health and care information.
- Delivering IT services with a direct impact on citizen experience: the Health & Social Care Digital Service enables people to use technology to participate fully in their health and care.
- Comparative data – introducing Care.Data: discusses benefits comparative data could bring patients and the public and help citizens hold organisations to account.
- Patients, nurses and technology: focuses on understanding patient and carer views in relation to using technology in community settings.
Key themes and messages from the workshops will be taken to health and social care leaders in the afternoon as part of the formal ISCG meeting.
