SD Scene publishes news and comment on sustainable development from across government, business and civil society. The views expressed in this article do not necessarily reflect government policy.

Run by 2degrees, a business community for driving growth and profit through sustainability, this event has been designed to help landlords, tenants, and owner/occupiers achieve higher performing buildings and truly engaged stakeholders, thereby benefitting from:

  • Improved asset value, increased rental yields and reduced void periods
  • Reduced energy bills
  • The knowledge and ability to demonstrate a credible business case for investment
  • Immediate improvements with minimal investment
  • Added shareholder value and improved customer brand loyalty

The agenda, tailored around participants’ stakeholder engagement, finance, technology and data challenges, will bring together peers from a variety of sectors who share similar issues and are in the same phase of implementation. Participants will also work closely in teams with those who have succeeded in overcoming these challenges, using case studies to identify how similar solutions can be applied to their properties.

Participating organisations include DECC, British Land, Land Securities, The Canary Wharf Group, the NHS, M&S and Legal & General Property
