JISC e-Learning Embedding Benefits Programme

The JISC is supporting previous projects funded through the e-learning programme to undertake activities to embed the outputs and outcomes from their successful project(s) into institutions in higher and further education and the skills sector (Work-based Learning, Adult and Community Learning, Specialist Colleges, Further Education Colleges and Offender Learning).

Proposals were invited from the following e-learning programmes

  • Institutional Approaches to Curriculum design
  • Transforming Curriculum Delivery through Technology
  • Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development
  • Distributed VLEs
  • QTI Implementation, Profiling and Support Project
  • Learning and Teaching Innovation Grants
  • Learning and Teaching Innovation Grants: SWaNI FE

Embedding activities are described as:

  • Packaging: activities that will enhance the readiness of the knowledge and experience as well as the outputs from a project (or projects) (i.e. resources, materials, tools, etc.) for take-up and use by other institutions.
  • Capacity Building: activities will raise awareness and share knowledge at practitioner, technical support and managerial levels so that more people are able to undertake similar endeavours.
  • Take-up Pilots: activities that will engage more institutions in successfully using the outputs/outcomes from projects.

In total 42 proposals were received from 37 projects, and of these 27 proposals were funded.
