The University of London partnership, led by the University of London External Programme will evaluate PAPI (Point of Access to Information Providers) , developed by the Spanish National Research Network (RedIRIS), from a technical, management and user perspective, as a potential solution for managing authorised access to electronic library resources for both on and off-campus learners, researchers and staff of the UK Further and Higher Education Community.

The project will recommend whether PAPI, could be potentially used as a fine-grain authorisation component in the proposed overall Access Management solution necessary to fully realise the vision of the JISC Information Environment. The deployment of PAPI will, where possible, build on and integrate with the University's existing Virtual Campus Access Management System.
