Natural England - Moor House-Upper Teesdale: want to get involved?

Moor House-Upper Teesdale: want to get involved?

There are plenty of opportunities for getting more involved on the reserve.

Getting your hands dirty

We run a programme of practical conservation tasks for volunteers. If you’d like to get out and about in the fresh North Pennines air, meet new people and help to look after the NNR, why not come and join us? Work days are usually held midweek, about once a month from March to December.

Please let us know if transport is a problem as we may be able to help.

All you need is a packed lunch, outdoor clothing, boots or wellies (some can be borrowed from the reserve) and a sense of humour! The tasks start at 10am and finish by about 3.30pm.

It is essential to book onto a task in advance and to confirm meeting points – please phone the Reserve on 01833 622374.

You can also find out more in the Volunteers section of the Natural England website.

Train to be a Green Guide

If you enjoy being out in Teesdale, meeting and talking to other people and have some time to spare you may like to consider training to be a Green Guide.
