VCSE National Prospectus Grants Programme - 2013 to 2015

The final list of successful VCSE National Prospectus grants can now be found in the link below. 72 applications have secured funding for 2013 to 2015 to implement national innovative projects and services to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. 

Strategic partner grant

The Children’s Partnership (a partnership between National Children’s Bureau and 4Children) has been awarded £600,000 per year for 2013 to 2015 to work with the department to develop its strategic relationship with the VCSE sector. The partnership will work across the sector to provide policy and delivery advice, support knowledge exchange and networking, and support the sharing of good practice.

The Department for Education’s National Prospectus Grants Programme 2013 to 2015 closed for applications on 30 November 2012.

Applicants were invited to submit proposals to improve outcomes for children, young people and families with a particular emphasis on early intervention and supporting the most disadvantaged.

The funding will contribute to policy thinking and delivery on the ground to:

  • promote excellence in early education and childcare, so enabling all children to achieve success in their early years and later education;
  • develop and reform services that support children with special educational needs (SEN), disabilities and other health needs;
  • develop and reform safeguarding services that protect and support children at risk of harm;
  • develop and reform the care system and speed up the process of adoption; and
  • focus and develop local services to improve outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people.

VCSE Strategic Partner Grant 2013 to 2015 – now closed

We have now received bids for our Children, Young People and Families VCSE Strategic Partner Grant for 2013 to 2015 and will shortly providing an update with the final outcome. This is a single grant available for a two-year period.

Applicants were invited to offer proposals to operate at the national level, working effectively across the children, young people and families sector to address complex and challenging issues. We will expect the partner to be well-versed in issues of strategic importance to this sector and be able to offer or source expertise across a range of children, young people and family policy areas. The new strategic partner will be expected to work with the successful recipients of a National Prospectus Grant 2013 to 2015.
