Accredited peer brokers to help others plan their care

My Support Broker is a peer support brokerage service based on a social franchise model.

Disabled, older people and their supporters are trained and accredited as peer brokers to help others to plan, find and manage their own care and support.

The training and accreditation for peer brokers is provided under licence from the Coalition for Independent Living.

Local Authorities are able to help individual’s arrange access to advice without a large scale procurement and with the potential to reduce their own administrative and care planning costs.

My Support Broker helps deliver choice and control to local public service users; supports uptake of personal budgets; provides local work for local people and can help stimulate the local micro-enterprise economy.

It also provides a platform to support self funders and people who wish to plan and arrange their own care.
