What is OpenAthens?

OpenAthens is an access management system provided by Eduserv, which enables eligible users to access the online content that has been purchased for their use. 

What content can I acess with my OpenAthens account?

Eligible OpenAthens users can access HDAS and nationally purchased content, which includes bolographic databases from Ovid (Medline, Embase, AMED, HMIC and PsycINFO) and ProQuest (BNI), full text databases from EBSCO (Cinahl and Health Business Elite) and journals from the BMJ and AMA collections.

You may also be able to access content which has been purchased in your region or by your organisation. For a list of all the content you're entitled to access, go to My Library. You will need to log in first.

Am I eligible?

How do I register?

What's my password?

If you've forgotten your password, simply reset it on our Reset Password page.

What's my username?

If you've forgotten your username, please contact your local OpenAthens administrator.

Can I have a new activation code?

If you need a new activation code, please contact your local OpenAthens administrator.

How do I change my account details?

Go to My Account to change your email address, organisation or password. You will need to log in first.
