Classifications Consultation

The NHS Classifications Service, as developers and publishers of the clinical classifications (OPCS-4 and ICD-10), associated national clinical coding standards and implementation guidance, would like to invite you to comment on specific areas of our development work. We want the views of all our stakeholders to inform the decisions we take, and be at the heart of our service improvements.

We are interested in reaching out to all our stakeholders including those in the wider coding community, clinicians, healthcare and information analysts, system suppliers and researchers. We want to hear what matters to you so that we can deliver clinical classification products and services that support better quality information critical to the modernisation of the NHS and care services. Check back here often where we will list all live consultations on our development work.

Please note, the consultations listed here are draft policy and therefore not for implementation at this stage. Please do not use the proposals detailed in the papers as coding guidance at this time.
