This annual volume brings together a wealth of information on the school workforce from various sources such as SFRs published during 2005. The subjects covered include: teacher training, recruitment, turnover, numbers in service, pay, sickness absence, vacancies, ethnicity and retirement awards. Tables also show the numbers and type of support staff in schools.
This internet version of the School Workforce Volume is available in Excel format only at this stage. Further analysis is taking place and this may result in tables being added or amended (see explanatory note 20 for further details). A PDF will be produced when the additional analysis has been completed and this will include any updates or amendments. The Excel tables will be updated if necessary at the same time.
