Children Accommodated in Secure Children's Homes, year ending 31 March 2005: England and Wales

This Statistical First Release provides summary information on the children accommodated in the 26 secure units in England and Wales. This is an update of last year's release that was published on 26 August 2004. The key points will cover the number of children in secure units by: gender, age, length of stay and legal status. Information will also be provided on occupancy rates and approved places for each unit.
