The bulletin presents provisional statistics on the educational qualifications of young people who ceased to be looked after in England, aged 16 or over, during the year ending 31 March 2003, and on the activity and accommodation of former looked after children whose nineteenth birthday fell during the year. It is an update from the previous bulletin which was released in November 2002. There is new information on Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASCs) and their educational achievements and activity on their nineteenth birthday.
