School Workforce in England (including pupil teacher ratios and pupil adult ratios), January 2003 (Provisional)

This Statistical First Release combines the type of information that was published for 2002 in two separate SFRs (Teachers in Service and Teacher Vacancies January 2002 (Provisional) Issue No 05/2002; and Pupil, Teachers, Educational Support Staff, Pupil:Teacher and Pupil:Adult Ratios in Maintained Schools in England January 2002 (Provisional)) in order to provide a more coherent presentation of school workforce statistics. It is the first time the January 2003 data will be published. The SFR will contain information on teacher numbers, teacher vacancies, pupil teacher ratios and pupil adult ratios and support staff in schools.
