This Bulletin updates the information provided in SFR 09/2002 "Provision for Children Under Five Years of Age in England: January 2002 (Provisional estimates)". The Bulletin will contain information on provision for children under five years of age, covering the private, voluntary, independent and maintained sectors. Information in this publication is relevant to the progress that has been made towards achieving some of the Government's strategic targets for early years and childcare.
