This Statistical First Release provides provisional data on numbers of teachers in service in the maintained sector by type of contract, phase of education and region; and on numbers of teacher vacancies in the maintained schools sector by phase of education, grade and region. For secondary classroom teacher vacancies, subject details are also shown.
