Funding for the development of intensive cost effective and evidence-based interventions for looked-after children and children on the edge of care or custody

Ministers are committed to supporting local partnerships to develop a range of intensive cost effective and evidence-based interventions for looked after children and children on the edge of care or custody. The Department has published a prospectus that sets out how a package of financial and other support will be made available to support the sector implement a range of interventions to address the high levels of need of this population. Funding is available for existing sites to test out effective partnership and delivery models to support mainstreaming; and for new partnerships to undertake needs profiling and service modelling to identify the most appropriate intervention(s) for their area.
